My Portfolio

StuckOnYouJewelry.com

This site strattles the line between elegent and light-hearted. It's unique banner introduction starts out as an eye catcher and ends in an elegent display with soothing music. This site may receive an upgrade in the future to include a full-featured gallery with captions, buy now buttons, etc. It may also receive an integrated blog similar to some other sites I've done.

BigMikesConstruction.com

This is a new site created for the purpose of displaying information. It has a full-featured content management system and even in image gallery for all of their projects. It's creative design and unique presence keeps visitors interested.

1PromotionalProducts.com

My most edgy design yet! This site has a real emphasis on letting the visitor know that they have unlimited choices for products and designs. The introduction video brings the visitor in and in a very short time it teaches them what 1PromotionalProducts is all about.

LowHangingFruitIdeas.com

This site is my very first review site. The site is very colorful and vibrant to help attract its visitors. It also features a full featured rating system; on this site you rate business ideas using apples. The unique feature of the Chevtek Rating System is that each vote is tracked individually and a number of different reports can be generated because of this. For instance, how many people rated an idea 3 stars last month. You can get very specific and gather plenty of data to help your business along.

PresidentialLiving.com

This project was a lot of fun. It is simple, elegant, and professional. I took some time with the flash introduction and it really brings to light the intention of the company and makes visitors feel welcome and comfortable.

ReferralNetworX.com

This is my largest project to date! I have been working on this for almost a year and I'm finally ready to display it here in my portfolio. It will always be growing and changing as a large community website, but it is finally ready to be called a finished product. It's slick, it's fast, and it does everything from blogs, to forums, to community profiles! Check it out! This site is filled with all sorts of functionality and community tools for business owners. I am very proud of this project and I would love to make one for you I can be just as proud of!

WhatTodaysWomenWant.com

This project was done for a women's expo in Idaho Falls. It is a very unique and creative site with a content management system so that they can update content anytime they want. Editing content in with our built in content management system is just as easy as it is to edit a word document.

TheMonsterCompanies.com

This project is representative of a purely informational site with content management built in and a fully functional blog. It's creative style makes it unique and easy on the eyes.

FordFamilyEyeCare.com

Georgia eye doctor Edward Ford needed to upgrade his online image. I provided him with a sleek and comfortable design while maintaining all the valuable information his old website contained.

ShowtimeUtah.com

This has been one of my more exciting projects! The creative juices began flowing because the unique old west atmosphere and theatrical direction was inspiring and made it easy to have some fun. This site is purely informational with the exception of the ability to order tickets online and sign up for the monthly newsletter. The real magic happens behind the curtains when the owner decides to log in and change the content.
When it's time to update content all the owner has to do is click the little red button in the bottom right. Once they provide a username and password some new features begin to crop up all over the site. From the ability to edit the four hotspots on the home page, to the hi-tech newsletter "preview-and-send" software. The site includes the ability to add shows dynamically so that customers can always buy tickets online. An administrator could manage coupon codes and change ticket prices all with the click of a button. Anywhere you can edit content there is a highly sophisticated content box that allows the administrator to interact with it the way you would any word processor! No fumbling with complicated HTML code like even popular sites like Myspace force you to do!
In addition to all those little goodies the site does something pretty amazing all on its own without any user interaction whatsoever. Every December the site goes festive and dresses itself up for Christmas. Snow begins to fall, the banner changes, and content becomes surrounded by Christmas lights. All of that happens on its own and then turns off again on December 26th, slipping back into its trusty old western image. Just imagine what that could do for you own site! It would look alive and buzzing with activity. You would impress visitors with your dedication to your image. The best part is that it doesn't have to be just Christmas; we can do this for all seasons of the year! We can even set up your website to change its appearance for one single day out of the whole year if you like. With your own website the possibilites are endless!

FordsCleaning.com

For this site I wanted only the best results for the budget alotted. I sat down and drew up a concept. No more than 24 hours later I already had a plan and was into development. This site is a very simple design and unique color scheme, but it is a great example for a couple reasons. It is a typical informational layout with a twist. Do you see the little "F" logo in the bottom right corner? That is a button that allows the owner to log in and edit all of his content. The owner can change the home page summary, add/edit/delete services and job postings dynamically, post to their company blog, and even place new ads on the home page, all with a few mouse clicks.
This website has a particularily unique feature that was requested. They wanted their home page to appear to be active even when nobody was home. I built in an automatic image rotator that cycles an image on the home page every three days. They have the ability to log in at any time and upload new images or delete old ones from the list the rotator chooses from. This combined with the company blog is a good way to make your site look active. I can't say enough how much a blog helps generate traffic to your website. If you're making genuinely helpful posts on your blog and you're making them often, then it will only be a matter of time before other bloggers start linking to them and helping to generate more traffic. This website, while simple, is a powerful tool for Ford's Cleaning and I am proud to have developed it.

PLSpaces.com

PLSpaces.com is a website I was building for a company that finished basements in homes. They wanted a simple informational site and really liked the way Chevtek.com was put together. A good way into development the company had some financial trouble and went out of business. Instead of throwing all my work away I decided to showcase it here so that you may see an example of a very simple informational site. This particular sample has some issues as it was never finished; the gallery page is non-existent and the home page is filled with a quick summary of the project because there was nothing there. This site is a good example of what simple text and well placed images can do. It's not much, but one thing you might find interesting is the "Free Estimate" page. It can be found through the "Contact Us" tab on the navigation bar. There is a link that takes you to a page to input your information as the visitor. It is designed to gather the visitor's information and email it to the company's customer service department where they could then contact the customer. This is much like our "Get A Quote" tab on our own navigation bar. As I said, they really liked our layout and wanted to mimic it. You do not have to do that. I have a variety of common layouts that I can do or we can discuss a completely unique layout that you may have in mind already.
