Our Portfolio

FordsCleaning.com

For this site we wanted only the best results for the budget alotted. We sat down and drew up a concept. No more than 24 hours later we already had a plan and were into development. This site is a very simple design and unique color scheme, but it is a great example for a couple reasons. We built in google ad support to help generate a little revenue from the traffic visiting the company's site. This is an added feature that we are more than happy to provide you with should you be interested. Another reason is the typical informational layout with a twist. Do you see the little "F" logo in the bottom right corner? That is a button that allows the owner to log in and edit all of his content. The owner can change the home page summary, add/edit/delete services and job postings dynamically, post to their company blog, and even place new ads on the home page, all with a few mouse clicks.
This website has a particularily unique feature that was requested. They wanted their home page to appear to be active even when nobody was home. We built in an automatic image rotator that cycles an image on the home page every three days. They have the ability to log in at any time and upload new images or delete old ones from the list the rotator chooses from. This combined with the company blog is a good way to make your site look active. I can't say enough how much a blog helps generate traffic to your website. If you're making genuinely helpful posts on your blog and you're making them often, then it will only be a matter of time before other bloggers start linking to them and helping to generate more traffic. This website, while simple, is a powerful tool for Ford's Cleaning and we are proud to have developed it.

PLSpaces.com

PLSpaces.com is a website we were building for a company that finished basements in homes. They wanted a simple informational site and really liked the way ours (Chevtek.com) was put together. A good way into development the company had some financial trouble and went out of business. Instead of throwing all our work away we decided to showcase it here so that you may see an example of a very simple informational site. This particular sample has some issues as it was never finished; the gallery page is non-existent and the home page is filled with a quick summary of the project because there was nothing there. This site is a good example of what simple text and well placed images can do. It's not much, but one thing you might find interesting is the "Free Estimate" page. It can be found through the "Contact Us" tab on the navigation bar. There is a link that takes you to a page to input your information as the visitor. It is designed to gather the visitor's information and email it to the company's customer service department where they could then contact the customer. This is much like our "Get A Quote" tab on our own navigation bar. As I said, they really liked our layout and wanted to mimic it. You do not have to do that. We have a variety of common layouts that we can do or we can discuss a completely unique layout that you may have in mind already.

Posithin.com

Posithin.com was done for a father son team looking to lose weight and keep track of their progress on a blog. This site is still active and is quite similar to JiddSpace.com in the way it functions, yet it looks quite different. It is still a top-down, paged blog, but the colors and the general layout are quite different. As you can see, many of our clients use previous portfolio samples as templates for their site and that is perfectly fine. We do however, encourage you to get creative! If you can imagine it, we can probably do it. Within reason of course ;)

JiddSpace.com

An adventurous twenty year old came to us in search of a way to express himself and his interests. He already had a blog on a third party blog site but it looked the same as everyone else's. He just wanted something simple yet unique where he could post about his outdoor adventures.
This site may look simple, but if you pay attention there is actually a good amount of functionality. A content management system is the essence of a blog site and the ability to log in is built right in. All he has to do is click "login", type in his username and password, and he can post, edit, and delete blogs. You can't see it on this site, but he even has the ability to post private blogs that nobody can see but himself. That's not all though. Visitors can register and get their own usernames; they can post comments beneathe each blog and interact with the author. All of his blogs are paged for easy reading and scrolling. The site even shows a summary of the blog on the front page so you can get an idea of what it's about before you actually view it.
This is a perfect example of a fully functional personal blog and we can build one for you no problem. It doesn't have to look the same as this one, but you get the idea. Sweet, simple, and easy to read. Great way to talk about current events in your life without having to sign up for blogspot or myspace!
